The book went through viruses, worms and social engineering that are often seen out in the computer world, distinguishing each one in its various forms and how each works. Viruses are generally programs that infect a computer, usually through either user interaction (trojans) or exploits made on application or system vulnerabilities (worms, etc.). Some of the various methods of social engineering were also covered, from the obvious (hoaxes, tailgating, etc.) to digital methods (phishing, whaling, etc.). Botnets were also covered and how zombies are created and utilized by hackers to attack networks and users.
